REFLECTION:
A focus on 21st century knowledge and skills is essential to the INTASC Core standards, as well as in everyday practical classroom use. Any lesson without an ounce of technology, especially in an English literature or language classroom, will reduce student involvement and output drastically. Inserting multimedia element into the teaching of a highly philosophical poem like "Summer Farm" helped me heighten student interest in the message as well as individual imagery of the poem, building a step-by-step approach to the lesson.
