POWER POINT:

I used the power point to arouse interest in and engage students with what they might consider a dull play from an age they know nothing about. I chose to construct a Taboo Game to help them identify the personality traits and useful information about characters from Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar.

REFLECTION:

Creating a game helped me improve upon my instructional practice, an essential part of the INTASC Core Standard of teaching. It involved a multimodal learning type, which engages students visually as well as critically, while maintaining a group learning environment without any pressure for an ultimate lesson takeaway out of it.

REFLECTION:

This assignment focused on Content knowledge aspect of the INTASC Core Standards of teaching. I followed a very specific instructional tool to create an excel sheet, and learnt to use an everyday program to perform various advanced functions, based on the instructions. Content creation and clear instructions are as important for students, especially those requiring vivid details to grasp complex lesson motives, as are visual or auditory tools.
